Dr. Jennifer Knobbe DC, FASA, BA

I was born and raised in Carroll, Iowa.  I am the oldest of four children with the most amazing parents a girl could ask for.  My parents, Kyl and Pam Knobbe, own their own business, Knobbe Plumbing & HVAC in Carroll where I spent many days helping around the shop.

I knew I always wanted to help others become as healthy as they can be.  After completing a sixth grade project in our Exploratory Class about “What do you want to be when you grow up?” I shadowed a good friend of the family, Dr. Steve Krause. Throughout the day I got to observe the different things he got to do, ask questions, and watch chiropractic videos.  Ever since I had a burning desire to help people become as healthy as they can be through chiropractic care.

After high school I completed my undergraduate studies at Central College in Pella, Iowa.  While attending classes there I also played varsity tennis all four years and studied abroad in London, UK.  During my time in London I got to study under three great Chiropractors where I learned a lifetime of knowledge.

Continuing my education at a prestigious school, Cleveland Chiropractic College, in Overland Park, KS. I got the chance of a lifetime during my second trimester.  I had the opportunity to train and work under Dr. Richard Yennie, the pioneer of Chiropractic Acupuncture. Dr. Yennie brought acupuncture into the chiropractic profession back in the 1950's and is one of the greatest "healers" in chiropractic history.  While at Acupuncture Society of America (ASA) I received over 500 hours of acupuncture training.  It is an honor to say I am now certified in Chiropractic Acupuncture and a Fellow of the Acupuncture Society of America.

May of 2012 I was blessed to study in China with Dr. Yennie.  He asked a few of his closest friends to travel to Shanghai and Beijing China for the International World Symposium of Acupuncture, where he was one of the guest speakers.  During our trip we got the opportunity to study and get treated by Master Wan and his students at Beijing Acupuncture Center, along with the classes at the center we got to study at a Chinese Acupuncture Hospital.  It truly was an unforgettable experience that I will hold dear to my heart for the rest of my life.

Throughout the years, I followed my passion for the health of women and children by taking additional classes to better serve and treat the whole family.  Including many prenatal and pediatric seminars, becoming certified in the Webster Technique through the ICPA, and studied a variety of chiropractic techniques great for pregnancy and children of all ages.  These studies include both manual and instrumental, such as Activator, SOT, and Thompson techniques.

I could not have traveled this journey alone; I had the best support anyone could ask for, my best friend and husband, Aaron! He has been there for me through the ups and downs of school, travels, studies, and boards. I really could not be where I am if it weren’t for his love and patience.  After dating for four years and living in two different states we had the wedding of our dreams here in Des Moines August 2011.  Along with the undeniable love and support from my husband, Aaron. We welcomed our beautiful little daughter, Londyn Jean, into our lives September 24th, 2013. After a wonderful pregnancy we delivered at home all naturally and a healthy 10lb. - 22in long baby girl all thanks to chiropractic and acupuncture. Recently we were blessed to grow our family to four as we welcomed our son, into the world Paxton Lee 10lb. - 2oz and 22 1/4' long born, March 13th, 2016.

During our free time we enjoy loving on our sweet baby girl and handsome young baby boy, going on walks, enjoying family and being active outside.
